Programming Station Reader

The Programming Station Reader: a black ActiveWave case with no antennas and four indicator lights along its front edge.

The Programming Station Reader set up tags one at a time. A user placed a tag on top of the unit, and the host software read the tag's ID and settings.

After the user changed the ID or the settings and chose Configure, the station wrote them to the tag. Its datasheet lists the settings a user could change:

  • Tag ID
  • Tag Type
  • Auto-send Time
  • Time-in Field
  • Group Count
  • Tamper Reporting
  • Temperature Reporting
  • Temperature Limits
  • Random Delay
  • Random Delay Limits

Like the Standard Reader, it offered two contact inputs and two relay outputs, here as options. The TigeRFID repository's notes name the Programming Station software as the program that programs and re-programs tags.

These figures are the original units' claims, quoted as their source printed them. Where two ActiveWave datasheets disagree, this site quotes each and does not reconcile them. A rating or a test result belongs to the original units and does not carry over to a rebuild.

Nothing on this site says a rebuild may transmit on these frequencies as they are. Radio rules differ by country, and the TigeRFID project checks them before it chooses a rebuild's radios.

These links open the repository as it stood at its activewave-2018 tag. Nobody has rebuilt the original hardware recently, so these files may not make a working unit as they stand.
