Standard Field Generator

The Standard Field Generator: a black ActiveWave case with one antenna.

A field generator woke tags up. The Standard Field Generator sent wake-up commands to tags at 433 MHz, and the tags in range answered with their own data.

It could call every tag, one type of tag, or a single tag by its ID. Its transmit range could change to fit the area it covered.

It had two modes. It could switch on and call tags for a set time, then switch off for a set time. Or a motion sensor could switch it on when something moved.

Its datasheet lists no receive frequency. A serial programming cable carried its settings from the host.

These figures are the original units' claims, quoted as their source printed them. Where two ActiveWave datasheets disagree, this site quotes each and does not reconcile them. A rating or a test result belongs to the original units and does not carry over to a rebuild.

Nothing on this site says a rebuild may transmit on these frequencies as they are. Radio rules differ by country, and the TigeRFID project checks them before it chooses a rebuild's radios.
